Born and raised in the countryside of Kagoshima.
I constantly longed for the excitement of city life in Tokyo. After moving to Tokyo during high school, life was filled with excitement.
As I matured, I realized how much my identity and well-being were shaped by my roots in Kagoshima. I wanted to give something back to my beautiful hometown.
That’s when I realized sweet potatoes had been an important part of my life. From school field trips to family snacks, sweet potatoes have been passed down for centuries in the area.
Today, I’m passionate about sharing Kagoshima's proud food culture, especially Japanese sweet potatoes, with the world.
